 Maximize Your Expressway Speed (FAQ)
If you are using Internet Explorer and you experience "slow" searches or ordering on the Dot Expressway, check your browser setting by performing the following steps:
  1. From your Windows Desktop or Start/Programs menu, open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. From the menu bar, click Tools.
  3. Click Internet Options.
  4. From the General tab in the Internet Options window.
    1. Within the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Settings button.
    2. Check mark  Automatically.
  5. Click the OK button twice.
 Login Problems (FAQ)
Our web site has been optimized for use with the latest version of either Microsoft Internet Explorer or FireFox web browser. To check which web browser version you are using, open the web browser, click on the "Help" menu within the web browser then click "About ...". This will tell you the web browser version you have installed on your computer. If it is an older version then download a newer version from one of the software vendor's website.
If you are have problems logging into the Dot Expressway using Internet Explorer then try the following steps:
  1. From your Windows Desktop or Start/Programs menu, open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. From the menu bar, click Tools.
  3. Click Internet Options.
  4. From the General tab in the Internet Options window.
    1. Click the Delete Cookies button (This option may only be available if you have MSIE 6.0+ installed. If it is not available, continue with next step).
    2. Click Delete Files button.
    3. Check mark Delete All Offline Content and click the OK button.
      1. Within the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Settings button.
      2. Check mark Automatically and click the OK button.
  5. Click Security tab.
    1. Highlight Content Zone named Internet.
    2. Click Default Level button.
    3. Repeat steps 6.a and 6.b for all the other Content Zones (Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites).
  6. Click Privacy tab.
    1. Set privacy to Medium.
  7. Click Content tab.
    1. Click the AutoComplete button.
    2. Uncheck Forms and User Names and Passwords On Forms boxes.
    3. Click Clear Forms button.
    4. Click Clear Passwords button.
    5. Click OK button.
  8. Click Advanced tab.
    1. Click Restore Defaults button.
  9. Click OK button.
  10. From the menu bar, click File.
  11. Click Open.
    1. Type http://www.dotexpressway.com/ into the input box.
    2. Click OK button.
  12. Try logging into the DotExpressway web site. Enter your User Name and Password. Be sure there are no spaces before, between, or after your first and last name when entering your user name. Click the Login button. If the web browser prompt's you to save your user name and password while logging into the DotExpressway, answer No.
 Browsing Experience (Enable Scripting)
Internet Explorer
  • Select Tools then Internet Options from the main menu.
  • At the top of the Internet Options dialog, select the Security tab.
  • From the group of zones at the top of the Security options, select the Internet icon.
  • Select the Custom Level button at the bottom of this window.
  • From the Security Settings dialog, scroll down to the Scripting section.
  • Select Enable for the Active Scripting option.
Mozilla Firefox
  • Select Tools then Options from the main menu.
  • Select Content button from the top row of options.
  • Select Enable JavaScript. (You do not need to enable Java, but it is okay if you do.)
  • Note: You may wish to install the NoScript extension for Firefox to control which sites can run JavaScript.
